Waiting for a Sponsor: Niringiyimana

Update: Niringiyimana was sponsored one day after this post by "Amy from Wisconsin". Praise God!

Meet Niringiyimana. This little guy looks like he's trying to tell the photographer something!
His information reads
"Niringiyimana lives with his father and his mother (in Rwanda).  He is responsible for running errands. His father is sometimes employed as a farmer and his mother is sometimes employed as a farmer. There are 3 children in the family.
For fun, Niringiyimana enjoys playing ball games. He attends church activities regularly and is in kindergarten where his performance is average."
His information also tells a bit about the area he lives in.
He lives on the plains of  Kabare. Typical houses in this area are constructed of dirt or cement floors, mud or brick walls and tin roofs.
On a daily basis, Niringiyimana's diet probably consists of items such as maize, beans, bananas, rice, and potatoes.
Niringiyimana lives in an AIDS-affected area. He is in desperate need of a sponsor, but he has been waiting for 392 days for one. I can only imagine that he and his family are running out of hope that one will come along.
In just a few months, on July 25, Niringiyimana will turn 5 years old. What better gift could he be given than that of a sponsor and friend in time for his birthday?

Kyan Needs Help!

Look into those eyes! Little Kyan looks so lonely. This little guy is 3 years old...and yet, he looks so much younger. He needs a family to fight for him! Imagine those eyes lit up as he plays catch with Daddy or reads a book with Mommy. Imagine him sitting on the floor of cheerful room, playing games with a brother and sister.

His description reads,
"Precious Kyan is 3 years old and is designated as special focus on Lifeline’s individual list. His special needs are listed as CHD (PVA, VSD, ASD), post-op CHD (right B-T shunt operation + PDA ligation), and cardiac insufficiency."

It goes on to mention his "heart-melting eyes", which I'm sure stole your heart right away, as they did mine. When his caretakers call his name, he "turns to them with arms out to ask for cuddles." He likes to laugh out loud when he is happy. His caretakers say he is "active and lovely".
I just want to scoop him up and hold him!

Please pray that....
he will get the medical care he needs for his heart while he waits.
that he will come into contact with people who will help him spiritually as he grows.
pray that God will guide his family to him and give him the strength to say "YES!" to him.

Please share his story.
On Facebook, Twitter, Google+, your blog, wherever....let's get him out there and help his family find him.

For more information on Kyan, visit No Hands But Ours or contact Lifeline.

Help Poppy Find Her Forever Family

I have a family! Praise God!
Follow my journey into a whole new world at http://www.somehowtherespeace.blogspot.com/

Beautiful Poppy still waits for her forever family. Please join me in helping them find her!

The post on No Hands But Ours about her says,

"Poppy was born September of 2003. She is an extroverted, active girl who gets along well with other children. She shares her food and toys with other kids, and adapts well to new people and situations. Poppy has mild CP which affects her right hand but she can use her left hand to eat with a spoon, undress, and wash her face. Her gross motor skills are not affected, she can walk, run, jump, and go up and down stairs without help. She lives with a foster family, she often helps her foster mother with chores like drying clothes in the sun or cleaning the floor. She is also diagnosed with epilepsy and doctors advised taking medication."

Updated pictures from February 2015:

Could this precious little girl be yours? If you want to learn more about her contact WACAP. There is a $4000 grant available if a family choses to use WACAP.
She is on the shared list, however, meaning a family using any agency could pursue her adoption.

Please pray and advocate for this sweet child! She is beautiful in the sight of God.
Update 3/26/2015
Maybe Poppy's beautiful smile tugged at your heart and you want to help her. She already has a family, but they need help with raising the money to get to her. Below is her fundraising site
